Tiexi District of Shenyang Prepares for Snow with Smart Snow-Removal 'Gadgets' Displayed in Emergency Drills

At the drill site, a variety of large, medium, and small Snow Removal Equipment, including front sweepers, front pushers, and multi-function snow removal vehicles, were neatly arranged, with emergency snow removal sanitation workers ready to go. The drill was conducted primarily with machinery and supplemented by manual labor, covering the entire process from personnel arrangement, material collection, spreading de-icing agents, mechanical snow removal, to the combination of human and machine snow clearing. The whole process was tense, orderly, and closely linked, focusing on testing the use and cooperation of mechanical vehicles as well as the comprehensive performance of the vehicles in actual combat.

 

Reporters on site noticed that brand-new multi-function Deheng high-speed Snow and Debris Roller Brush Cleaners were particularly eye-catching. They are mainly used for expressways, bridge roads, and first-class roads, achieving rapid snow clearance with high rotation speeds. Compared to previous integrated spreader trucks, this "new vehicle" has faster brush speeds and higher efficiency, doubling that of ordinary snow removal vehicles. The front brush is more flexible and mobile, with controllable de-icing agent spreading, achieving more efficient and intelligent snow removal operations.

 

Another model, the small multi-function snow sweeping and road sweeping vehicle (microcomputer sweeper) for both winter and summer use, highlights "flexibility." In summer, it becomes a "cleaning expert" with a sweeping disc, and in winter, it becomes a "snow removal pioneer" with a roller brush, capable of snow removal on pedestrian walkways and back alleys, flexibly meeting the cleaning needs of different seasons. Compared to previous small cleaning vehicles, it has higher cleaning efficiency, stronger power, more convenient operation for drivers, closer contact with the road surface, more flexible brush replacement, richer working scenarios, and higher storage capacity for waste, making it a capable assistant for urban cleaning. Command system upgrades, rapid response with "one-click start."

It is particularly worth mentioning that this year, the snow removal work efficiency in Tiexi District has been upgraded, focusing on intelligent management. In addition to introducing advanced cleaning equipment, the district has also integrated the Smart City Management Platform and the Smart Sanitation Platform Command System independently designed and developed by Zhonghuanjie Group Co., Ltd., to achieve remote monitoring and scientific management of sanitation equipment, establishing a unified command and dispatch system and a rapid response mechanism, ensuring that materials, equipment, personnel, positions, and mechanisms can be "one-click started," improving work efficiency and response speed.

"The drill closely follows the actual road conditions of Tiexi District, focuses on key points, and emphasizes practical effects, effectively achieving a clear understanding and proficiency in snow removal work processes for sanitation personnel," said Jiang Yongpeng, head of the sanitation department of the Tiexi District Urban Management Bureau. The drill adheres to problem-oriented and goal-oriented approaches, carefully summarizing and refining past snow removal and traffic maintenance methods, revising and improving emergency plans, changing the past extensive snow removal model of "blooming everywhere," scientifically quantifying snow removal standards, clarifying priorities, reasonably dividing work units, thus refining the drill and achieving precise policy implementation and targeted efforts in snow removal work.

 

This year, Tiexi District has more than 540 types of snow removal vehicles for winter, with more than 90 new vehicles and equipment added, and more than 3,300 people participating in snow removal. Lu Bo, a person in charge from Zhonghuanjie (Shenyang) Urban Environmental Services Co., Ltd., introduced that all snow removal materials in Tiexi District are ready, and all types of snow removal vehicles have been repaired and adjusted. Next, the district's urban management bureau will closely monitor weather changes and snow conditions, act upon snowfall, and ensure smooth traffic during snowfall and the restoration of the urban environment after snow, safeguarding the safe travel of citizens.
